And the winner is....

Yes, Jordan will be a great home for four months.  We can't wait for the new experiences and to learn about our good friends.  If you want to come visit, there will be a room for you.

When you woke this morning did you realize this would be a day written in history books? For the first time in Middle East history there has been a non-violent revolution, which accomplished its goals in only 18 days.

So what did you do today while my future was being shaped? I was teaching our Zumba class when John texted me and informed me of the news. Then 30 min later mom called and left a message telling me that Mubarak had stepped down.

We will wait as the rest begins to unfold and see what our future hold. We will let you know where we end up going. Let's all keep praying that things will settle down in Egypt.

We dont have a lot of pictures unfortunately.  John didn't feel so good and he was puking all day.  Regardless, we had a good time with the Nash's.  I hope everyone had a great time with their loved ones and hopefully one day we can see you guys again.

 We had great time at Mama y Papa Nash house.  John took some great pictures night pictures.  We decided that we would try to keep my Mexican tradition of mole alive.  Here I am trying to get everything ready for it.

This is just the beginning!  I love that we were able to cut our very first christmas tree!   Who would of thought picking a Christmas tree would be so hard.  Can't wait til we get to find our next one in two years!

Giving the Lord Equal Time

As I was sitting on my living room this evening, I decided to turn to good ol' BYU TV.  Elder Ballard was giving a CES firside talk.

I wasn't able to hear his entire talk, but he said something that caught my ear :  Are we giving the Lord EQUAL time?  (you can listen to his talk)

As I was reflecting on his words I realized and recognize that it is very very easy not to give the Lord EQUAL time.  I have to work more actively to give the Lord at least equal time. 

I also realized how there must be a balance on all things.  Elder Ballard didn't say we needed to give him ALL our time, but just equal time.  

I am grateful for a loving, and understanding Father in Heaven. He really is aware of me and knew I needed a husband that would make it easier for me to slow down and not be so busy.  He knows John brings balance into my life.  I know I am not perfect and need to do better in living the basic doctrine. I'm glad we have apostles who reminds of the things we should be doing.
