you thought Jordan was going to be hott

The oven has been cooking for last three months.... yeah news to us as well (we just found out about 4 weeks ago.)  We have seen our good share of miracles already.  We are excited to be expecting our 1st baby and he is due in November!  John will be in Jordan and I'll be here in good ol' Provo.

There are a lot of things we still need to figure out.  John has been great and I couldn't ask for a more loving and understanding husband.  He knows how to make me laugh... I have had so much support from my family, both hernandezs' and nashs', and not to mention our friends.

So if you run into any good deals or coupons for baby furniture, clothes, diapers, etc please let me know.  you can email the coupon code and that will be great!

I found out April 5, I was pregnant and then luckily a few days later we were able to see our little one :)

This is our little one at 11 1/2 weeks or so

  1. I love love love your little one's picture! And I can't wait to find out if you're having a boy or a girl! I've found several good deals (and learned lessons the hard way by wasting money too) on lots of different things... I'll email you with what I've found.
    p.s. I have a blog now! :)

  3. Great opening line!!! Does this mean that you'll blog more often? It is your duty to provide me with reading material between classes so I don't get bored. There is only so much of 13 year old problems I can take during the day with out going crazy. I'd much rather read about your lives. You and John should take turns updating it while he is abroad! That would be cool! Post from you in the U.S. and then posts from John in Jordan!

  5. Oh my goodness congratulations!!

    As far as baby stuff:

if you register at Target, you get added to their mailing lists for baby coupons

diapers.com has decent prices on diapers. Amazon has deals on diapers too. We had to try a bunch of different brands to see what worked best. Luvs gave Ansley a rash and huggies leaked so we've stuck with Pampers but every baby is different. We also only used one package of newborn sized diapers b/c she grew a lot at first.

Babies don't need a lot of stuff though it's tempting and fun to buy little things. You need a car seat and somewhere for the baby to sleep. Ansley hated the bassinet we borrowed. Keep in mind that safety regulations have changed (ie distance between the bars) since we were babies.

Borrow non essential baby stuff if you can. We're glad we didn't buy a swing b/c Ansley never liked it. We would've been out a lot of money/storage space.

We got a lot of newborn and little sized clothes as baby presents and one thing we registered for (a blanket).

I'm excited for you guys! Hope you're feeling as well as possible. :)
