Back in those days I would get up in the morning and go to the BYU gym to work out. I lived in the Terrace a block away in the Blue Velour apt. (correct me if I am wrong, mel and jen) I remember finishing up my set of bench press and going to do sit-ups when I heard the news. I was confused and didn't understand fully what had happened. When I went home I turned on our TV and saw the news. It has been 9 years now and so much has happened since then. I don't consider myself very patriotic, but I am very grateful for John for educating me, and for the example of my friends who are very patriotic.
I am grateful for our freedom and I know this country was founded by inspiration. I am grateful for the ability to choose what I believe and how I live my life. I am grateful for the people who fight to keep us protected. Good bless America!
blue velour is right! :)
ReplyDeleteYou know where I was? Birding on Mt. Timp with Alex Burciaga and Stacey. I was the awkward 3rd wheel to something . . . When I got back to my Ecology class I found it was canceled due to the crashes but was super confused because I missed everything up on the mountain. P.S. I like your new header picture!
